Kristín Anna Guðmundsdóttir is a soprano from Reykjavík, Iceland and based in Berlin, Germany. She completed her master's degree from „Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin“ with the highest grade in July 2021. Since 2014 she studied there under the guidance of KS Prof. Uta Priew.

Right after graduation, Kristín Anna sang in the world premiere of the opera "Sleepless" by the Hungarian composer Peter Eötvös at the „Staatsoper Unter den Linden Berlin“. Kristín Anna sang in the same opera at the „Grand Théâtre de Genève“ and the „Müpa“ concert hall in Budapest 2022.

July 2022 Kristín Anna sang the role of Micaëla from the opera „Carmen“ by Georges Bizet in „Schlossfestspiele Ettlingen“. In August 2022 she also sang the role of the Countess in „The Marriage of Figaro“ at the „Croatian National Theater Varaždin“.

Kristín started singing lessons at the age of 14 in „The Church of Langholt“ with Harpa Harðardóttir. In 2014 she graduated from the „Reykjavik Academy of Singing and Vocal Arts“ and the same year she moved to Berlin for further singing studies. At the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler Berlin, she studied singing under the guidance of KS Prof. Uta Priew. There she has also received guidance from other teachers including Robert Dean Smith, Peter Berne and Prof. Wolfram Rieger. Kristín has received further guidance from singers such as KS Dagmar Schellenberger, KS Prof. Roland Schubert, Janet Williams and Prof. Ewa Wolak.

From the age of four, she has sung in the choirs of The Church of Langholt under the direction of Jón Stefánsson. In all choirs she sang solo, e.g. Mass in B minor, Matthew's Passion by Bach and the Christmas concert of the Langholt Church Choir.

As a member of Graduale Nobili, she sang on the album „Biophilia“ by „Björk“, which was released in 2011. After that, she took part in another two-year world tour of the choir with Björk. These include New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Paris, London, Manchester, Berlin, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Costa Rica, Toronto, Ottawa and Tokyo.

Kristín has already received several grants and awards. In 2018 she received a scholarship from the „Richard Wagner Association in Minden“ and in the same year she received the audience award of the international singing academy "Schloss Hartenfells" in Torgau.
